HIDDEN ARCHITECTURAL PARADISE…UNDERSTATED ELEGANCE ON 6+ ACRES

Masterfully completed in 2003, this world class vineyard retreat defines the ultimate in quality, technology, and secluded country estate living. Nestled on over six glorious acres in the exclusive Hidden Valley enclave, the home achieves a remarkable affinity with its site. Extraordinary in its design sophistication, yet warm and unassuming in its presentation, this private escape is truly in a league of its own. The mahogany entrance gate and graveled drive are first indications of the understated elegance. Surveying the Pinot Noir vineyards and heritage trees, you are immersed in this timeless fusion of European joie de vivre and distinctly Californian aesthetics.

The home is inspired by legendary Crafstman architects Greene & Greene. The use of earthy materials, functional livabililty, and indoor/outdoor synergy could never be more relevant. Architects Brayton/Hughes captured the owner’s vision of a cutting-edge home that lives and feels like it has been here for generations. Master builders Forde Mazolla articulated the design with only the most premium materials and craftsmanship. The main home encompasses approx. 6,600 sq. ft. with 4 bedrooms and 4+ bathrooms, including a sequestered master wing with octagonal sitting room and “crow’s nest” executive office. Dramatic use of cathedral beamed ceilings, eyebrow clerestory windows, and rich mahogany millwork heighten the rare character and authenticity. Grand open spaces are balanced by intimate nooks and special destinations, such as the outdoor fireplace lounge off of the family room and hidden outdoor shower courtyards. Most rooms seamlessly flow out to entertaining terraces that overlook the vineyard, fairway-like lawns, gardens, and forest beyond. Constantly evolving to its site, the landscaping alone is a true work of art with layers of colors, fragrances, and textures.
Beyond the main home, you will find a beautifully detailed 2-bedroom, 2-bath guest house, plus a multi-faceted studio spa building with sauna, steam shower, gym, and office with concealed 800-bottle wine room. Just beyond the Pavillion and Provencal gardens, there is a regulation clay tennis court and discreet service entrance for vineyard management. The south end of the property boasts a luxurious pool terrace, spa, fountain feature, and pool house. This smart home’s infrastructure is equally impressive. The finest available programmable AV/Lighting/HVAC/Security, plus a T-1 line and backup generator ensure the highest degree of executive function and security.
Sparing no expense or detail, the owners of this masterpiece have created a new classic…a home that sets a new benchmark for architectural ingenuity…a home that approaches California design nostalgia in a fresh new way…and a home that takes its place among Northern California’s most unique and prestigious properties.
